A gadget I think is very cool is the Iphone.  The Iphone is made by Apple and is an mp3 player, internet, and video player all in one.  The Iphone cfan be viewed at http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/.  It is useful to poeople, because it takes away the need to carry many gadgets at once, with the Iphone you eliminate having to carry many of the everyday gadgets.    A gadget I would invent to help people is pencil that you write what you want me to written and it would write it.  It would be very useful, because people would not have to worry about bad handwriting and mispelling.
